PROFILE

Electrical or electromechanical staff called to carry out lockout-tagout procedures, and/or supervise non-live electrical works, and perform general operations.

OBJECTIVES

To learn the industry regulations as defined in the NF C 18-510 standard
To apply LV safety guidelines relating to lockout-tagout, general operations, and de-energized, non-live work carried out in the vicinity of electrical works or installations.

Effects of electric current on the human body : electrification, electrocution, burns
Electrical works or installations : voltage domains, restrictions and recognizing materials
Environments and their constraints

Electrical accreditation : principles, symbols, restrictions, and formalization

Hazard analysis and implementation of general preventive principles
Monitoring of operations
Securing circuits : de-energizing, VAT (Voltage Absence Testing), lockout-tagout, placing out of reach

Work equipment used (ladders, hand tools…) : hazards and implementation

Type, structure and operation of works and installations (substations and power lines)
Function of the electrical materials of substations : control, protection, separation…
Capacitive induction and coupling, and related preventive measures (achieving equipotential bonding)

6.Evaluation and validation

Initial evaluation to assess the trainee’s knowledge of the prerequisites required to follow the training
Evaluation of the trainee’s knowledge at the end of each module. Evaluation of the trainee’s know-how through practical simulations and/or role play.
Issuance of an accreditation grade with the preset symbols offered by the trainer.

PREREQUISITES

Electro-technical competency is a mandatory requirement for enrollment in the electrical accreditation training course for electricians.
