PROFILE

Electrical or electromechanical staff working in LV and/or HV, responsible for carrying out lockout-tagout, supervising de-energized, non-live work, managing general operations, and carrying out or organizing tests.

OBJECTIVES

  • To operate safely on all or on part of a work operation. To learn the industry regulations as defined in the NF C 18-510 standard.
  • To apply the LV work safety guidelines relating to lockout-tagout, general operations, and de-energized / non-live work carried out in the vicinity of electrical works or installations.
  • Issuance of an accreditation grade with the preset symbols offered by the trainer.

  • Effects of electric current on the human body : electrification, electrocution, burns
  • Electrical works or installations : voltage domains, restrictions, and recognizing materials
  • Environments and their constraints

Electrical accreditation : principles, symbols, restrictions and formalization

  • Hazard analysis and implementation of general preventive principles

  • Securing circuits : de-energizing, VAT (Voltage Absence Testing), lockout-tagout, placing out of reach

  • Characterization of works and restrictions : de-energized / non-live, live in near or far vicinity
  • Responsible for lockout-tagout procedures and electrical operation: role, instructions, information exchange
  • Accreditation : symbol and restrictions
  • Preventive measures to be applied during ongoing work : elimination of hazards, organization, demarcation, signposting, observance and enforcement
  • Electrical materials in their environment : function, characteristics, identification

  • Applicable steps and documents during lockout-tagout on one’s own behalf

6.Evaluation and validation

  • Initial evaluation to assess the trainee’s knowledge of the prerequisites required to follow the training
  • Evaluation of the trainee’s knowledge at the end of each module. Evaluation of the trainee’s know-how through practical simulations and/or role play.
  • Issuance of an accreditation grade with the preset symbols offered by the training entity
  • Mastery of the information regularly assessed throughout the course
  • Computerized or written theoretical and practical tests

PREREQUISITES
